Manchester United are in contact with 26-year-old Tottenham Hotspur target Gleison Bremer ahead of a potential transfer in the summer.

According to a report by TuttoSport, Manchester United are keen on reinforcing their defence ahead of next season. The Red Devils have struggled in the ongoing season because of a lack of depth and injuries to key defenders. As a result, they are keen on signing a new centre-back and Juventus’ Gleison Bremer is a name that is quite high on their list of targets.

Bremer made the move to Juventus in the summer of 2022 after proving himself in the Italian top flight while playing for Torino. The Brazilian centre-back has gone from strength to strength since making the move to the Old Lady.

He has been a constant feature in the heart of their defence and is currently one of the best defenders in the Serie A. His consistent performances have put him on the radar of multiple top clubs from across Europe.

While he still has over four years left on his deal with the Italian giants, he could still be on the move in the summer. Juventus would love to have Bremer in their ranks for years to come but they do not have the best of financial situations and any departure will help them reinforce their squad as a whole.

United and Spurs to battle for Bremer’s signatures

Manchester United are one of the clubs keen on having the 26-year-old in their ranks. The Red Devils have had quite a few injuries at the back and they are looking to reinforce their backline on a priority basis. They want to add a top-quality centre-back to the mix and the Juventus defender has been on their radar for quite a while now.

Their representatives have scouted him on multiple occasions and they have been in constant touch with his representatives as they look to strike a deal in the summer. But, the Red Devils are not the only club in the race, even Tottenham Hotspur are keen on his signatures.

Spurs have also scouted him on multiple occasions as Ange Postecoglou is keen on adding another top-quality defender to his ranks. They have had a promising start under the Australian boss and the board is expected to back him in the summer.

Meanwhile, Juventus have started to look for a potential replacement as they want to be prepared for a situation where Bremer ends up leaving the Turin-based club.
