Newcastle United must pay €35-40 million to sign Federico Chiesa from Juventus in the summer as he enters the final year of his deal.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via Sport Witness, Newcastle United will have to shell out €35-40 million to sign Federico Chiesa in the summer. The 26-year-old Serie A attacker could become a significant transfer window subject should he and Juventus choose to part ways.

Newcastle United must pay €35-40 million for Federico Chiesa

Federico Chiesa remains one of the formidable talents in Italy, although he no longer commands a regular place on Massimiliano Allegri’s side. Injury problems over the last few seasons have troubled the 26-year-old Serie A attacker to varying degrees, while the emergence of Kenan Yildiz has also proved problematic for the winger.

Juventus could consider Yildiz as Chiesa’s natural successor, which could see them part ways with the 26-year-old ahead of the summer. Incidentally, Chiesa will enter the final year of his deal and remains on the radars of some top Premier League clubs as things stand.

Newcastle United have also shown interest in the attacker, as Eddie Howe may have ideally wanted him in January. However, the Magpies could try for the Juventus star in the summer window and test Bianconeri’s resolve, with the asking price between €35-40 million.

Considering the time left on Chiesa’s contract in Turin, it’s a large sum, although his overall quality may see Juventus demand it without flinching; hence, for Newcastle Untied to stand any chance, a bid in the region of €35-40 million should be deemed enough to test Juventus’ resolve. However, any move will depend on the player’s choices.

Chiesa has a growing interest

Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are also considered suitors for the Italian international should he part ways with Juventus. The Premier League trio are in the market for a quality attacker in the summer and may see the availability of the 26-year-old Serie A attacker as a significant factor.

Liverpool are also keen as Jurgen Klopp had identified him as a replacement option for Mohamed Salah should the Eghyptian depart for Saudi Arabia. Hence, should any of those four clubs compete with Newcastle for Chiesa, the winger may have a choice to make, with the Magpies likely to fall short in the hunt.
