Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur to make their move for Semih Kilicsoy

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are all set to square up against each other for the services of 18-year-old Besiktas striker Semih Kilicsoy.

According to Sabah via SportWitness, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are both keen on bolstering their attack in the next summer transfer window and they have their eyes set on Semih Kilicsoy. The 18-year-old sensation is in red-hot form and his performances have resulted in interest from across Europe.

Kilicsoy: A new Turkish gem

Kilicsoy has come up the ranks at Besiktas, he was promoted to their first team ahead of the 2023/24 season and has gone from strength to strength since. While he didn’t really get much game time in the initial phase of the season, the teenager has been a regular of late and he has delivered results on a consistent basis.

In his last 10 Super Lig appearances, the Turkish youth international has contributed with nine goals and an assist. He has made full use of the opportunities that he has had and his performances haven’t gone unnoticed.

Multiple clubs from across Europe are quite impressed with what they have seen from the teenager and are prepared to go all out to land him at their club. Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are two English clubs keen on his signatures.

Arsenal and Spurs keen on Kilicsoy’s signatures

Both clubs have been following the Besiktas for a while now and they have been constantly scouting him ahead of a potential move in the summer. Mikel Arteta is not happy with the output of his strikers and he is in search of a new number nine.

The Spanish manager wants to bring in a forward who can guarantee goals. Kilicsoy might just be 18 but he surely knows how to find the back of the net and could be a great addition to the Arsenal ranks for the present as well as the future.

The Gunners will have to battle it out with Tottenham Hotspur who are also keen on having a new striker in their ranks. They haven’t signed a Harry Kane replacement yet and reports suggest they are looking to use their experienced wide players in a more central role.

With the North London club not keen on bringing in a new world-class number nine, they could look to land the teenager at the club. He could start as a squad player and work his way into the XI.

Meanwhile, the player had penned down a new deal with the Turkish club last month. His new contract runs until 2028 and he is keen on staying at Besiktas for another season. But, the English clubs are still willing to try their luck ahead of next season.
