Manchester United are ready to permanently part ways with their 23-year-old England international Jadon Sancho.
According to a report by Football Insider, Manchester United have made a decision regarding the future of Jadon Sancho. The Red Devils are ready to sanction the 23-year-old England international’s exit should a club meet their demands.
Sancho joined United in the summer of 2021 after making a name for himself at Borussia Dortmund. He was considered to be the next big thing in world football and the Manchester-based club paid a reported fee of £73 million to land him at the club.
But, the move to United didn’t really go according to plan. While he did get quite a few opportunities in the initial years, Sancho couldn’t cement his spot in the starting XI. Post the arrival of Erik ten Hag, his game time slowly started to get affected.
At the start of the ongoing season, he had a public fallout with the Dutch manager following which he was exiled from the first team and was asked to train alone. He didn’t make any more appearances for United and was loaned out to Borussia Dortmund in the January window.
United ready to sanction the sale of Jadon Sancho
It is a straightforward loan deal without any option or obligation to buy. As a result, he is expected to return to his parent club but he might not have a future there. The Red Devils might have spent a fortune on him but they are ready to sanction his departure if a club is ready to meet their price demands.
The Manchester-based club might have new minority owners but they still need to sell assets to fund new signings. As a result, Sancho will be one of the multiple stars that the Red Devils will look to move on as they look to rebuild under the new owners.
Dortmund could consider making a move but that will depend on how he performs until the end of the season. Apart from the German giants, United expect multiple other clubs to make a move for the England international in the next summer transfer window.
