Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Pedro Neto has been linked with a move away from the club at the end of the season.
A report from The Sun has claimed that Wolves are now contemplating the departure of Pedro Neto in order to finance their summer signings. Arsenal, Manchester United, and Tottenham are keen on the 23-year-old, and the development will come as a major boost for them.
The 23-year-old has been in fine form this season, picking up three goals and ten assists across all competitions. He could prove to be a quality acquisition for all three clubs, and it will be interesting to see where he ends up.
Neto has a contract with Wolves until the summer of 2027, and he is unlikely to be a cheap acquisition. The three clubs will have to shell out a premium to sign him. The report from The Sun claims that the transfer fee could rise to £70 million, and the bidding will have to start from £60 million.
Arsenal need to bring in a quality winger so they can rotate the likes of Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli. Neto would be a quality acquisition for them. He will add creativity and goals from the wide areas.
Similarly, Tottenham will need to replace the likes of Bryan Gil, who is expected to leave the club at the end of the season. As far as Manchester United are concerned, the 23-year-old winger will be an upgrade on Antony who has been largely underwhelming since his big money move from Ajax.
Neto needs to take the next step
The 23-year-old will want to compete at a high level and push for major trophies. A move to Arsenal, Tottenham, or Manchester United would be ideal for him. It will be interesting to see where the 23-year-old ends up.
The £70 million investment could be problematic for his suitors. But there is no doubt that Neto could end up justifying the investment in the coming seasons. The Portuguese winger is still quite young, and he will only get better with coaching and experience. He has all the attributes to develop into a world-class winger with the right guidance.
