Tottenham Hotspur’s discussions regarding a new contract with star forward Son Heung-min have yielded positive outcomes.
According to Last Word On Spurs, Tottenham Hotspur have already held talks with Son Heung-min regarding a new deal. Spurs are quite keen on having the South Korean international in their ranks for years to come and have already made a lot of progress with regards to a contract extension.
Son’s Impact at Tottenham
Son has been a sensation for the north London club since joining them back in the summer of 2015. He has gone from strength to strength over the years and currently, he is amongst the best forward in the English top flight.
Over the years, he has featured in a total of 394 matches for Tottenham and has contributed towards 243 goals. He has scored over 150 goals and has bagged 86 assists.
In the ongoing season, the 31-year-old winger has been used in a more central role. He has featured in a total of 21 league games and has contributed towards 18 goals. He has found the back of the net on 12 occasions.
With Harry Kane no longer at the club, Son is the leader of their attack and they are keen on having his services for a few more years. His current deal runs out in the summer of 2025 but the London club does have the option to extend it by another 12 months.
