Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United are both interested in acquiring the services of 26-year-old Tosin Adarabioyo.
According to a report by Calciomercato, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United are both keen on having Tosin Adarabioyo in their ranks. The 26-year-old centre-back is all set to part ways with Fulham after the end of the ongoing season and there is a lot of interest in his services.
Adarabioyo was a part of the Manchester City youth ranks since his childhood days. While he did come up the ranks at some pace, the former England youth international failed to break into their first team. He left and joined Fulham towards the end of 2020.
Since making the move to the Cottagers, he has gone from strength to strength and has established himself in the heart of the defence. The 26-year-old has made a name for himself in the Premier League as a dependable centre-back.
His performances have attracted a lot of attention and with his contract running out at the end of the season, clubs are expected to battle it out for his signatures. The English centre-back has no intentions of penning down a new deal after having already turned down an offer last season.
The Cottagers had the opportunity to cash in on him by sanctioning his sale to Monaco last season. But, they decided against it and now the 26-year-old is all set to leave for free. Tottenham and West Ham are both in need of defensive reinforcement and they are closely monitoring Adarabioyo’s situation and could soon make a move.
Spurs lack depth in their defence and their boss Ange Postecoglou wants it resolved in the summer. He is looking for someone who can feature in his starting XI and given the kind of experience the former City defender has, he should be an ideal fit.
As far as the Hammers are concerned, they only have four centre-backs in their squad. Angelo Ogbonna is one of them and he is already 35, as a result, they are in desperate need of reinforcement in the heart of the defence. Adarabioyo has proven himself in the English top flight and he could be a great signing for them. With the 26-year-old available for free, it will be interesting to see who wins the race for his signatures.
