Liverpool are reportedly keeping a close eye on Fulham star Antonee Robinson ahead of a potential summer move.

According to Football Insider, Liverpool have set their sights on making a move for impressive Fulham left-back Antonee Robinson in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The 26-year-old USMNT international has been on the Cottagers’ books since sealing a £2 million switch from Wigan Athletic in August 2020. While Robinson’s potential has been clear for a long time, he has taken a big leap forward in his development this season, in particular.

Fulham boss Marco Silva is using the American to funnel Fulham’s play into the attacking third, with the 26-year-old relentless in his running and forward-thinking with his movement.

He is currently playing the best football of his career, making 29 appearances in all competitions for Fulham this season and notching five assists. He has started in all but one of the Cottagers’ Premier League games in the 2023–24 campaign.

It’s perhaps no surprise that the USMNT star found himself the subject of transfer links to Liverpool leading up to the most recent January transfer window, but no concrete moves were made from the Reds’ side.

At 26 years old, Robinson is entering his peak years. Fulham have given the USMNT international a platform to demonstrate his quality in the strongest league in Europe, but he is surely pondering another step up the ladder, as per the reports.

It’s unclear at this stage whether Fulham share the openness that the defender does regarding the move next summer or in the near future, given that he only signed a new contract some six months ago that is set to keep him at Craven Cottage until 2028.

He seems like a useful option for Liverpool if they were to get him. They play with full-backs who like to move the ball forward at speed, get involved with the attack, and create, chipping in with assists. Liverpool are a team, and Robinson would almost certainly be able to handle their trademark style of play.

The off-the-ball ability of Robinson is another quality that surely appeals to the Reds’ analysis team as the club look to retain their counter-pressing and winning possession back high up the pitch ideology in the post-Jurgen Klopp era as well. It remains to be seen if other clubs are also looking at the 26-year-old with a view to a transfer taking place in the summer.
