Manchester United are frontrunners for the signatures of the 26-year-old Juventus centre-back Gleison Bremer.
According to a report by Calciomercato, Manchester United are leading the race for the services of Gleison Bremer. The Red Devils are looking to reinforce their defence next summer and they feel the Juventus mainstay could be an ideal fit for them.
Bremer has gone from strength to strength since making the move to the Turin-based club from Torino in the summer of 2022. He has been a consistent feature in the heart of their defence and is one of the most important players for Massimiliano Allegri’s team.
Juventus recently rewarded the 26-year-old with a new contract for his consistent performances. His new deal runs until the summer of 2028, extending the previous deal by a year. While they did give him better terms and extended his stay, he could still end up parting ways in the summer.
The Turin-based club have made it clear that no player at the club is nontransferable. They are ready to let any of their players leave at the right offer. Meanwhile, Bremer’s impressive performances haven’t gone unnoticed and he could be subject to multiple bids in the summer.
Manchester United are one of the clubs that have been monitoring the Brazilian international for a while now. The Red Devils have struggled at the back in the ongoing season because of injuries and lack of depth. Heading into next season, their priority will be to add a new centre-back and Juventus’ Bremer is on top of their list.
Erik ten Hag’s team are expected to make a move for the Brazil international next summer. While they are keen on his signatures and Juventus are ready to listen to offer, they won’t let him leave on the cheap. The Old Lady will look for a minimum of €70 million with a fixed base for their defensive mainstay.
They had spent €41 million plus €8 million in bonuses to sign him from Torino back in the day. Given his importance to Allegri’s team and the kind of amount Juventus had spent to land him, they are unlikely to let him for anything less than the asking price.
