Al-Hilal are seriously plotting a summer move for Mohamed Salah in the summer, as the Egyptian could consider a move this summer.
According to Fichajes, Al-Hilal could move with intent in their bid to sign Mohamed Salah in the summer. The Saudi Pro League side could join Al-Ittihad in the race for the Liverpool veteran after the latter failed to sign the Egyptian last summer.
Al-Hilal plot Mohamed Salah transfer
Mohamed Salah will continue to be the Saudi Pro League’s top transfer target when the summer transfer window opens. Al-Ittihad failed to sign the 31-year-old last summer despite reportedly launching a £150 million bid for the 18-goal Liverpool veteran.
Further reports around deadline day also pointed at an improved offer of more than £200 million being readied by Al-Ittihad. But that may not have arrived. Liverpool are already considering selling Salah if they can get similar money in return.
While Al-Ittihad are already expected to return, Al-Hilal recently joined the race for Salah. And now the latter could plot a severe move to the Egyptian. Al-Hilal signed Neymar last summer. But after a brief period, he was lost to a season-ending injury. Some reports have already suggested they are considering replacing the Brazilian with Salah as their priority target.
Meanwhile, Salah might opt for a Saudi move if a considerable offer arrives in the summer. He could open the gates for a huge financial windfall and end his Liverpool career on a high, which could still land trophies at the end of the season if the club can achieve all their targets.
Liverpool to use the Salah money for a new rebuild?
Jurgen Klopp’s departure could lead to many players reconsidering their careers at the club, with the German a big part of what Liverpool is in the current period. Salah could well leave as part of that group. But his sale could bring a massive windfall for the club to then rebuild from.
Much like the sale of Philippe Coutinho did several years ago, Liverpool could vastly use the Salah money, which could go around £200 million, to bring in fresh talent. However, only the summer window will show how much the Egyptian is worth to those Saudi clubs, as Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad will likely come in with a big budget.
