West Ham United winger Said Benrahma is set to complete a move away from the club before the transfer window closes.
Fulham were working on signing 28-year-old Algerian winger Said Benrahma, but they have now failed with a late move to sign the player. According to journalist Loic Tanzi, the West Ham United attacker is currently in France and is looking to seal a move to Lyon.
Benrahma has not had regular game time with West Ham United this season, and a move away from the East London club will be ideal for him. The 28-year-old will look to get his career back on track with regular first-team action during the second half of the season.
Fulham are looking to improve their attacking options, and it is no surprise that they tried to secure a cut-price move for the player late on in the window. It will be interesting to see if they move on to other targets after missing out on the Algerian.
Benrahma was a key player for Brentford before his move to West Ham, and the transfer to the East London club did not quite work out well. It is ideal for all parties to move on now. It will be interesting to see if the Hammers decide to move for a quality winger to replace him before the window closes.
As for Fulham, they have looked toothless in the attack this season, and they need more quality in the final third. Signing a goalscoring winger could prove to be a wise decision for them. They could use a reliable finisher as well. Raul Jimenez has not been able to score goals for them consistently since replacing Aleksandar Mitrovic.
