Crystal Palace Set to Sign Adam Wharton

It seems Crystal Palace have managed to win the race for his services. The Eagles are just six points above the drop zone. They need to ensure they have a good second half to stay in the Premier League, and reinforcements will surely help their cause.

Cheick Doucoure’s injury has been a huge blow for the Eagles, and they needed to ensure they have enough depth in their ranks. As a result, they were keen on having Wharton in their ranks. Palace have been in negotiations with Blackburn for a while, and they even feared a potential hijack by Newcastle United.

Despite all odds, they have managed to strike a deal with the Championship club. The two clubs have agreed on a transfer worth £22 million. The deal has been in place since Tuesday and according to Romano, the player has signed his contract with the Eagles. As a result, we should have an official confirmation within the next few hours.
