Bayern Munich set to sign Chelsea, Manchester United target Jonah Kusi-Asare

Bayer Munich are all set to win the race to sign 16-year-old Chelsea and Manchester United target Jonah Kusi-Asare.

According to a report by HITC, Bayern Munich, Chelsea, and Manchester United are all keen on having Jonah Kusi-Asare in their ranks. The 16-year-old is a huge prospect for the future, and all three clubs do not want to miss out on him. But, it seems the Premier League duo have lost to the German giants in the battle for the signature of the Swedish wonderkid.

Who is Jonah Kusi-Asare?

Kusi-Asare has been a part of the Under-21 setup of AIK since the start of last year. He has already featured in four matches for the first team and is all set to be an official member of their senior squad starting 1 February.

Despite being 16, he has convinced the Swedish club that he deserves regular first-team action. And, not just that, his impressive performances have also attracted a lot of attention from across Europe.

Multiple top clubs want to sign the 6ft 5in striker who could go on to be one of the best forwards. He has every quality that a good striker should have and on top of that, his height makes him unstoppable in the air.

Jonah Kusi-Asare in Demand

Manchester United and Chelsea are two Premier League clubs that have been monitoring the Swedish teenager for a while now. While he might not be ready to feature for their first team, his potential suggests he will soon compete with the best. As a result, they do not want to miss out on him.

The Blues have been focused on signing young players with huge potential, and Kusi-Asare is exactly the kind of player they want to add to their ranks. In a few year’s time, he could become an integral first-team player.

But, unfortunately, neither of Chelsea and Manchester United will get their hands on the Swedish Under-17 star who scored a hat-trick in his only outing for the youth team. Bayern Munich have been interested in him even before the two Premier League clubs were in the picture.

The German giants were in negotiations when others were busy monitoring him, and they have struck a deal with AIK. Bayern have agreed to pay £5 million for the teenage sensation. They signed Harry Kane in the summer, and the England captain is expected to be at the club for the next few seasons. After that, Kusi-Asare could be the one leading the line if his development goes according to plan.
