According to a report by Sky Sports, Tottenham Hotspur are all set to lose out on Antonio Nusa as Brentford have reached an agreement in principle with Club Brugge for the transfer of the teenage sensation. The future of the 18-year-old winger has been the talk of the town since the start of the season but it seems the saga is coming to an end.

Antonio Nusa and his Rise

Nusa has been at Club Brugge since joining them from Norwegian side Stabaek in the summer of 2021. He has featured in a total of 64 matches for the Belgian club. As far as the ongoing season is concerned, the teenager has seven goal contributions in his 28 outings.

The 18-year-old has huge potential and he has been putting in some impressive performances over the last 12 months. As a result, multiple clubs have been linked with him. Tottenham Hotspur are one of the clubs that are interested in Nusa’s services.

Tottenham Wanted Antonio Nusa

Ange Postecoglou is looking for more depth in all areas of the pitch after getting off to a great start at his new club. The Norwegian international has been on their radar for a while. Spurs wanted to sign him in the summer, but that could not happen.

However, they did return in the winter and were in talks with the Belgian club for the transfer of the teenager. Nusa wanted to stay at Club Brugge until the end of the season, and Spurs were ready to agree to it. But, it seems they have fallen behind in the race, and the teenager looks all set to join Brentford.

The Bees have been quite busy throughout the winter. They have already completed multiple signings and are now closing in on the signatures of the Norwegian international. Brentford have reached an agreement in principle with Club Brugge for the transfer of the 18-year-old.

The English club will be paying £25 million for the services of the winger who will stay with the Belgian club for the rest of the season before joining Brentford in the summer. While the terms have been agreed, the player is yet to undergo his medical. Once that is taken care of, we could have an official confirmation of the move.
