Barcelona will reportedly scout 21-year-old Tottenham midfield mainstay Pape Matar Sarr at the Africa Cup of Nations.
According to a report by Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Pape Matar Sarr is the subject of interest from Barcelona. The Catalan giants are in the market for a midfielder ahead of the summer transfer window. And they have set their sights on the 21-year-old Tottenham mainstay, who will have scouts monitoring him at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Pape Matar Sarr has had to bide his time since joining Tottenham from FC Metz in August 2021. He could not establish a foothold in the first-team squad at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in his first two seasons with the North London outfit. The arrival of Ange Postecoglou has turned things around for the 21-year-old, who has become a mainstay in the middle of the park for Tottenham. The youngster has featured 19 times thus far this season for Tottenham, chipping in with two goals and two assists.
