Manchester United winger Facundo Pellistri has been linked with a move away from the club, with Granada interested.

Facundo Pellistri is unlikely to play regularly for Manchester United, and it makes sense for him to leave this month. A report from Mundo Deportivo has claimed that Granada are now closing in on securing his services on a loan deal.

Facundo Pellistri Needs a Loan

The 22-year-old is highly rated around Europe, and he has a bright future ahead of him. He needs to play more often to continue his development and improve as a player. Joining Granada should prove to be the ideal move for him during the second half of the season.

The Spanish outfit have been quite poor this season, and they are pushing for safety in La Liga. They could certainly use more quality and depth in the wide areas, and the South American winger should prove to be a handy option for them. So, they have advanced talks to secure his services.

If Pellistri manages to establish himself as a regular starter for Granada during the second half of the season, he might get an opportunity to join bigger clubs at the end of the season. There is no doubt that the 22-year-old is a prodigious talent, and he is destined to compete at the highest level with big clubs.

However, he must focus on his growth as a footballer right now. If that means leaving Manchester United permanently, the player should consider it seriously. Sitting on the bench at a big club is unlikely to benefit the youngster. If he can continue to improve with regular football, he will have plenty of opportunities to join big clubs in the near future.

Meanwhile, Manchester United need more quality at depth in the wide areas. The likes of Jadon Sancho and Antony have been largely underwhelming, and the England international has already been loaned out to Borussia Dortmund.

The Red Devils have players like Alejandro Garnacho, Marcus Rashford, and Amad Diallo at their disposal now. Pellistri would not have had ample game time at Old Trafford had he stayed for the second half of the season. So, the loan move makes perfect sense for all parties.

He would get to compete at a high level in La Liga and help Granada secure their status as a top-flight club for another season. AS Roma were also keen on signing the 22-year-old Manchester United prospect. But a move to La Liga is now on the cards for him.
