Daniel Farke at Leeds United remains interested in a late move for Liverpool U-21 forward Mateusz Musialowski.

According to Team Talk, Liverpool U-21 forward Mateusz Musialowski has emerged as a key target for Leeds United. Daniel Farke wants reinforcements in place before the end of this month’s transfer window, with Jurgen Klopp open to letting the Polish star leave.

Daniel Farke is eager to keep pushing for an automatic promotion to the Championship, as they are currently sitting in fourth place with a nine-point lead over fifth-placed West Brom. The Leeds United boss would want to keep up the momentum and remains keen to adding new players to aid their cause.

So far in this window, Leeds have seen their squad depleted rather than strengthened, with defenders Luke Ayling and Darko Gyabi departing on temporary arrangements to Middlesbrough and Plymouth, respectively.

Moreover, they also took the break option in Tottenham full-back Djed Spence, meaning Farke remains keen on adding a new full-back. Leeds is already linked with versatile Spurs defender Ben Davies but faces the task of convincing them about a move.

Now, they have set sights on Liverpool forward Mateusz Musialowski, the Polish U-21 star, who is available to move. Farke has seen something in the forward following his impressive displays for Liverpool’s U-21 side, where he has scored six times in eleven games this season. The 20-year-old attacking prodigy can play across the frontline, which could see Farke add a good attacker to his Leeds side.

Jurgen Klopp is ready to greenlight the move.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will not stand in Musialowski’s way, as his agent continues to lean towards a move away from the club. With Leeds United actively chasing the Polish star, there’s a feeling Farke considers him an important addition.

Musialowski had come to Liverpool from Polish side UKS SMS Lodz in 2020 and, in the following year, signed a three-year professional term. That deal will expire in the summer, meaning Liverpool will be looking for a modest fee in exchange for the players.

Moreover, Klopp knows the player wants to showcase his talent on a bigger stage than the U-21 Liverpool side. Musialowski’s path to the first team also appears blocked with the presence of some formidable senior forward, as the manager does not see a path opening for the attacking prodigy anytime soon. Hence, a move to Leeds United could be on the cards in the coming days.
