Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich will reportedly soon table a bid worth over £10 million to sign Kieran Trippier from Newcastle United.
According to a report by Football Insider, Kieran Trippier is the subject of interest from Bayern Munich. The Bundesliga champions are keen on signing the Newcastle United mainstay in the January transfer window. And they are willing to submit a proposal worth over £10 million to land the 33-year-old.
The Rise of Kieran Trippier
Kieran Trippier has re-established himself as one of the best full-backs in the Premier League since joining Newcastle United from Atletico Madrid in January 2022. The return to England signalled the start of his second stint in the Premier League after representing Burnley and Tottenham for over half a dozen years.
Meanwhile, the English international enjoyed an excellent stint with La Liga giants Atletico Madrid, winning the league title with them. Trippier’s stock has skyrocketed during his spell with Newcastle United, as he has played a leading role in transforming them into contenders for a top-four spot.
The 33-year-old has enjoyed a decent 2023/24 season thus far, even though the Magpies have blown hot and cold. He has provided eight assists in 28 appearances thus far. But Trippier’s long-term Newcastle United future is uncertain, with Bayern Munich keen on signing him. And a new offer is in the works at the Allianz Arena.
Bayern Munich Want Kieran Trippier
The Englishman has reportedly verbally agreed to personal terms with Bayern Munich. But Newcastle United have rejected an initial approach over a possible loan move for the 33-year-old mainstay. Reports have claimed that the Magpies do not want to part ways with Kieran Trippier in the January transfer window.
But the latest reports have pointed to Newcastle United setting a price tag to part ways with Trippier. The Tyneside club will soon receive a new proposal from Bayern Munich, with the Bavarian giants ready to offer more than £10 million to secure his services.
It is unclear if Newcastle United will entertain a bid worth over £10 million to sell Kieran Trippier. The Magpies can probably afford to cash in on the 33-year-old English international due to the presence of Valentino Livramento in the first-team squad. So, it will be interesting to see if a deal sees the light of day.
