Tottenham Hotspur have rejected a £20 million offer from Al Nassr for the services of 25-year-old defender Emerson Royal.

According to a report by talkSPORT, Al-Nassr are keen on having Emerson Royal in their ranks. They want to further bolster their defence in the ongoing transfer window, and the 25-year-old Tottenham Hotspur defender is a priority target.

The Saudi Pro League club put forward an offer worth £20 million for the services of the Brazilian international. But, the bid has been rejected by Tottenham, as Emerson has become an integral part of their first team under Ange Postecoglou.

Emerson Royal at Tottenham: The Story So Far

The 25-year-old joined Tottenham in the summer of 2021 from Barcelona. Things did not work out for him at the Spanish club, and he made the switch to England. Since joining the North London club, things have improved, and he has been an important player for them.

The Brazil international has featured in a total of 95 matches for them and has even contributed towards six goals. While Pedro Porro is the preferred choice at right-back, the 25-year-old has been used as a left-back as well as centre-back. His versatility is making him a key player from the North London club.

He is happy playing under the Australian boss, and even Spurs feel he is important to their plans moving forward. Postecoglou has talked highly about the Brazil international, and he is in no mood to let him leave. But, there is serious interest in his services from the Middle East.

Al-Nassr Want Emerson Royal

Al-Nassr are looking to further bolster their squad in the ongoing transfer window as they look to push for all major titles. They feel the need for defensive reinforcement, and Emerson Royal is a top target for them as he can feature anywhere in the backline.

The Saudi Pro League club went ahead and submitted a bid worth £20 million. But it has been turned down. While Saudi Pro League outfit are considering making another bid, Spurs seem determined to keep him in their ranks. But, given the financial strength of the Middle Eastern club things could still change.

Tottenham have been quite busy in the ongoing window so far, they have already executed quite a few moves and are expected to take care of a few more before the deadline day.
