Kylian Mbappe is a target for Real Madrid as well. But a report by Gazzetta dello Sport via Paisley Gates has claimed that Liverpool are best-placed to sign him as far as Premier League clubs are concerned.

Kylian Mbappe: Among the Best in the World

The 25-year-old has established himself as a world-class player, and he could prove to be a sensational addition to the Liverpool attack. Mbappe has 28 goals across all competitions this season.

Mohamed Salah has been linked with a summer move away from Liverpool, who will have to replace him adequately. Signing the French international attacker could prove to be a wise decision. Mbappe has been a key player for club and country in recent seasons. He helped his country win the World Cup in 2018 and guided them to the final in 2022.

Liverpool Might Need Someone Like Mbappe

Mbappe is destined to be the next superstar of the game, and he could improve Liverpool immensely. He is versatile enough to operate anywhere across the front three, and he could be the ideal player to replace Salah’s goal scoring and creative output.

The Egyptian international has a contract with Liverpool until the summer of 2025, and they could be under pressure to sell him this summer if he does not sign an extension with them. Meanwhile, Mbappe will be a free agent at the end of this season, and it remains to be seen whether Liverpool can secure his services on a free transfer.

It would be a major coup for the Premier League side if they managed to get the deal done. Meanwhile, Real Madrid are serious about signing him as well, and it will be interesting to see if the Spanish child’s can win the race for his signature. They have previously beaten Liverpool to the signings of Aurelien Tchouameni and Jude Bellingham.

It is fair to assume that Liverpool will have to offer lucrative wages in order to tempt the French international into joining them.

Even though it would be a free transfer, the signing on fee is likely to be substantial. Overall. it will be an expensive acquisition for Liverpool, and it remains to be seen whether they can arrange the funds for the transfer.

Competing with Real Madrid will not be easy, and they must ensure Champions League qualification in order to stand a chance. Meanwhile, PSG are doing their best to hold on to the player, and they have already offered him a contract worth around €100 million per season. Liverpool are currently paying Salah wages of around €20 million per season, and they will need to improve on that drastically in order to attract Mbappe.
