Bournemouth will demand more than £50 million for star striker Dominic Solanke as Arsenal, Newcastle United and Tottenham are interested.

According to Football Insider, Bournemouth will slap a price tag of more than £50 million for Dominic Solanke. The Cherries are aware of the interest coming from Arsenal, Newcastle United, and Tottenham in their star striker target, who could leave in the summer.

Bournemouth to demand £50 million-plus for Dominic Solanke?

Dominic Solanke has essentially come to the party with Bournemouth this season, making a solid impact in the Premier League by scoring 13 goals. The English forward has made headlines with his displays that have taken the Cherries out of danger, and now they have set new objectives as he guarantees goals.

Bournemouth are bracing themselves for offers in January as there is considerable interest coming from Arsenal, Newcastle United and Tottenham. The Cherries are not keen on a sale this month but will entertain bids in the summer, as the report states they will demand more than £50 million for the striker.

Bournemouth are keen to maximise the striker’s value as a homegrown star and will demand a premium price during the sale. Eddie Howe recently ruled out the idea of a January move for Solanke with hints that the Magpies cannot afford a player of the striker’s level.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta reportedly wants Solanke this month. But again, the Gunners are mindful of breaching FFP rules to make the signing. The North Londoners are looking for a quality striker this month, with Solanke pretty high on their list.

Tottenham have earmarked Solanke as the successor to Harry Kane in their setup, having kept the England skipper the same since his departure from Bayern Munich in the summer. Hence, with Bournemouth open to a sale in the summer, these three clubs could battle it out for the 13-goal striker target, and the Cherries will hope to increase his price at some stage.

Solanke will stay at Bournemouth until the summer

The decision from Bournemouth to not entertain any bids during January will come across as logical, as they will have an uphill task to replace Solanke. The 26-year-old has been in superb form since the season began, and his goals have helped the Cherries out of their slump at the start of the campaign.

Solanke’s head might have turned owing to massive interest from some of the big clubs in England; he may see the perspective of staying put until the summer.

The big question here is whether clubs are willing to pay £50 million or more for the 26-year-old when the summer transfer window opens. Suitors like Arsenal, Newcastle United, and Tottenham will surely want to have conversations with the Cherries to try and find a solution to reduce his asking price.
