Chelsea hand trials to Asian duo

One might have never heard of Keito Kamishiro and Sota Motomatsu, so Chelsea have carefully chosen the two teenage Asian sensations to join the club for now. The Blues have handed the dupo trials, and they will join up with the U-21 squad.

The Asian teenagers are well below 18 and will only be able to join the club after they surpass that age. Considering that information and the fact that they will join the U-21 squad, it’s a massive test for Kamishiro and Motomatsu to prove their worth.

Chelsea have a huge global scouting network, and those observers may have identified the two teenage Asian sensations. The information surrounding their current clubs and age remains under wraps, although there’s a feeling the club scouts might have seen something special in those talents.

Chelsea continues to plan on bringing more young talents

While the news about Kamishiro and Motomatsu will make some sections of Chelsea’s fanbase happy, most supporters are invested in the club’s first-team activity. The Blues are very active in the market for some highly rated talents pencilled in for the senior squad.

They recently resurrected interest in Antonio Nusa and have links to multiple other teenage stars from around the globe. Chelsea have actively pursued young talents since the arrival of Clear Lake capital as the club’s new owners 18 months ago.

In the three windows since, Chelsea have spent over a billion pounds on talents, with most of those falling under a specific age bracket. They have increasingly scoured the South American markets for players like Angelo Gabriel, Kendry Paez, and Andrey Santos while recently agreeing on a deal for 17-year-old Senegalese talent Pape Daouda Diong.

They are also interested in another Brazilian talent, Estevao Willian, and the list goes on. Chelsea are eager to make a statement with such signings as they continue to build a super team for the future, which may affect results in the present.
