Aston Villa and Crystal Palace are tracking Luton Town defender Gabriel Osho, who has impressed since returning from injury.

According to Give Me Sport, Gabriel Osho has the attention of a few top clubs, with Aston Villa and Crystal Palace vying for the defender. The 25-year-old defender has been impressing with Luton Town since returning from injury and could have a few offers on the Premier League table.

Aston Villa and Crystal Palace keen on Gabriel Osho

Luton Town did appear done and dusted in the Premier League after their disastrous start to the season, which made them outright favourites for relegation. Yet, Rob Edwards has his players to thank for the revival, and they are now firmly in the fight to survive.

One player who has proven his worth is 25-year-old defender Gabriel Osho. The centre-back has helped his team pick 10 points in the nine games he has featured, with Luton Town only managing half that tally without him.

Osho now has the interest of Aston Villa and Crystal Palace, with the Premier League duo tracking him and could make approaches. Luton Town will probably resist any approaches, as he represents the core of the players the club is banking on to avoid relegation.

Aston Villa are looking for defensive reinforcements for a number of reasons. For starters, Unai Emery will want a new addition to shore up the backline, although they could also look for a replacement for on-loan Barcelona star Clement Lenglet.

Crystal Palace are surely keen on bringing in an option good enough to help Roy Hodgson rotate one of Joachim Andersen and Marc Guehi. In addition, Guehi faces an uncertain future in the long run amid interest from top Premier League clubs. Hence, the Eagles might attempt to rest Luton’s resolve.

Could Gabriel Osho leave Luton Town?

There are tricky decisions which come in at crucial times for clubs and players. In the case of Luton Town and their manager, Rob Edwards, losing a player like Osho would mean a big loss in the context of the season.

While the player knows his importance for the Hatters, he might see the interest from Aston Villa and Crystal Palace as a big career opportunity to pursue. He will want to see how important he could be for those sides before making a decision. Palace and Villa are certainly much bigger than Luton, but if he manages to help the Hatters survive the relegation ordeal, he will have more offers in the summer.
