Newcastle United will reject all approaches for Bruno Guimaraes, who they signed for £40 million, with the Brazilian international attracting many suitors.
According to a report by i News, Bruno Guimaraes is gaining popularity in the market. Liverpool, Real Madrid, and PSG are among the clubs keen on signing the Newcastle United talisman. But the Tyneside outfit will not entertain any offers for the Brazilian international in the January transfer window.
The Rise of Bruno Guimaraes
Bruno Guimaraes has established himself as one of the best midfielders in the Premier League since joining Newcastle United from Lyon in January 2022. The Magpies shelled out £40 million to sign the 26-year-old, and he has proven worthy of the investment thus far in the last two years.
Guimaraes made an immediate impact after joining Newcastle United, helping them avoid relegation from the Premier League after a dreadful first half of the 2021/22 season. The Brazilian international and Newcastle United took things to the next level last term, finishing in the top four and qualifying for the UEFA Champions League.
The former Lyon midfielder has turned out nearly 100 times thus far for Newcastle United, chipping in with eight goals and five assists. While his performance levels have dropped this season, his stock remains high. The Newcastle talisman is a target for several high-profile clubs, including Liverpool, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.
Bruno Guimaraes in Demand
PSG recently approached Newcastle United over a possible move for Bruno Guimaraes. The Ligue 1 champions heavily bolstered their midfield unit in the summer but have not had the stability in the middle of the park. So, it is hardly surprising that Bruno Guimaraes has emerged as a target for PSG.
As for Liverpool, the Reds want to sign a versatile midfielder who can complete a dynamic unit in the middle of the park alongside Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai. Guimaraes thus fits the bill. Meanwhile, Real Madrid will lose Luka Modric and Toni Kroos, with both veterans in the twilight of their careers. But Newcastle United will not entertain any offers for the 26-year-old.
The Magpies can potentially make more than double of what they paid to land Bruno Guimaraes two years ago. But with a place in the top four up for grabs, Newcastle United will not consider parting ways with the Brazilian international anytime soon. Guimaraes is not interested in leaving either. So, Liverpool, PSG and Real Madrid must hold their horses in the race to sign him.
