Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly closing in on signing 21-year-old Romanian defender Radu Dragusin from Serie A club Genoa.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham Hotspur have had positive contacts with Serie A club Genoa regarding Radu Dragusin. The deal to sign the 21-year-old is advancing to the final stages of negotiations.

Radu Dragusin: Becoming a Household Name

The Romanian defender has been exceptional for Genoa, and he could prove to be a quality long-term investment for Tottenham. The 21-year-old could help them tighten up defensively, and he would be a useful squad option for them in the long term as well.

Tottenham have had their fair share of injury problems this season, and they are lacking in depth in the defensive unit. Signing a central defender should be their top priority before the January window closes. Radu Dragusin has thus been their top target.

Fabrizio Romano claims that Tottenham are hoping to sign the 21-year-old defender this week, and talks will continue between the two clubs. The North London club are yet to submit an official bid to sign the player, and both clubs are currently discussing verbal proposals. Dragusin has been linked with Italian giants Napoli as well.

Will Tottenham Sign Radu Dragusin?

Tottenham must do everything in their power to sign the 21-year-old in the next few days. They will have to improve defensively to secure Champions League qualification at the end of the season. He will be excited about the possibility of playing in the Premier League. It will be a major step up in his career, and he will want to showcase his qualities in English football.

Tottenham are certainly one of the biggest clubs in the country, and the opportunity to play for them can be hard to turn down for most players. Dragusin will hope to compete for trophies with the move to the North London club this month.

Tottenham have shown improvement under Ange Postecoglou, and signing the right players this month could help them finish the season strongly and finish in the top four. They might also have a chance of winning a domestic trophy.

Apart from Radu Dragusin, Tottenham are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign the German international striker Timo Werner as well. The former Chelsea striker will join them on loan until the end of the season.

As usual, Tottenham are messing around with their “Priority” or no1 target. They should be saying to both Dragusin and Genoa, do you want to come to Tottenham or not. All of this mess is just typical of the way Tottenham do their business. No definite answer in 24 hours, move on, there are a number of centre backs available, might have to spend a bit more, but we need at least 1more c/back and soon. Timo Werner???? What’s that all about. Kicked out of Chelsea, can’t get a game at RB in the German league and that’s the best we can do?? Crazy. Getting Werner, even as a loan is a step in the wrong direction. COYS

I agree with the need to give an ultimatum. I believe a lot if this media hype is agent originated to push the price up!!
If he hasnt signed by the weekend, forget him. Sign Tosin from Fulham, hes cheaper and Premier league ready. Its cover for our two regular CBs whilst Ohillios and Donley get up to speed. If we really cant get a deal done, dont forget we still own Rodon.
