Radu Dragusin is open to the idea of joining Italian giants Napoli amidst interest from Tottenham Hotspur.

According to a report by Calciomercato, Napoli are closing in on signing Radu Dragusin as they look to bolster their defence midway into the 2023/24 season. The 21-year-old centre-back is open to the idea of joining the Italian giants. But there is interest in services from England as well. The Genoa defender will cost €30 million.

Radu Dragusin and his Advent

Things might not have worked out for Radu Dragusin at Juventus. But he has managed to make a name for himself since making the move to Genoa. The 21-year-old was always regarded as a huge prospect for the future. but he failed to get going at the Turin-based club. However, he has turned things around.

He joined Genoa in the summer of 2022 on a season-long loan and on the back of his impressive performances, the transfer was made permanent last summer. The Romanian international has gone from strength to strength over the past few seasons, and his performances have resulted in a lot of interest from across Europe.

Dragusin in Demand

Napoli are one of the clubs keen on having him in their ranks. The Serie A champions have not been able to replicate what they did last season. Winning the title might no longer be a possibility, but they still want to finish in the top four and go further in the Champions League. As a result, they want to make a few signings in the ongoing window to ensure they have a much better second half.

Bolstering their defence is one of the priorities for the Italian club, and they feel signing the 21-year-old could do wonders. He is versatile and can feature anywhere in the backline. On top of that, he will only get better with time.

Napoli are already in talks with Genoa over a potential transfer, and they are ready to offer €20 million along with Alessandro Zanoli and Leo Ostigard. Zanoli is eager to join Genoa, while Ostigard wants regular first-team football and should accept the move. Meanwhile, Dargusin is keen on joining Napoli.

While the details are yet to be talked about, Napoli are quite serious about their pursuit. But, they could face competition from Tottenham Hotspur, who are also keen on defensive reinforcement and have been monitoring the Romanian international for a while now. Even the player wants to play in England. But, he is open to the idea of joining Napoli as his agent has admitted that you cannot say no to the Partenopei.

Let him go elsewhere! Hes messing us about, him or his agent?
Stop fannying about and sign Tosin from Fulham. Cheaper and Premier ready. We are our own worst enemies in transfers. His club dont help, the price has gone up at least 3 times, each time by 5 million!!!!
