According to La Gazzetta dello Sport via Area Napoli, Newcastle United want to reinforce their squad in the winter transfer window and have their eyes set on Michele Di Gregorio. The Magpies have struggled in the ongoing season, and Eddie Howe wants to bring an end to the struggle by signing players that can help their cause.

They want to make the needed signings in the winter transfer window to end the season on a high. One of their priorities in the ongoing window will be to look for a goalkeeper who can help them cope with the absence of Nick Pope.
Newcastle United Keen on a Goalkeeper
Pope is out with a shoulder injury that he picked up at the start of last month. With the 31-year-old out injured for a long time, the Magpies do need reinforcement in goal and have shown interest in players like David de Gea. As a result, they have their eyes set on Michele Di Gregorio.
The 26-year-old Italian shot-stopper has been in sensational form since the start of the season. He has featured in 17 Serie A matches and has only conceded 17 goals while keeping six clean sheets.
