Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on signing Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker Hwang Hee-chan.

Hwang Hee-chan has been in impressive form this season, scoring 11 goals across all competitions. He could prove to be a quality acquisition for Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur. A report from Football Insider has claimed that the two Premier League clubs have been watching the player in action this season, and they are quite impressed.

It will be interesting to see if they decide to follow up on their interest with a concrete proposal to sign the player in January. Liverpool could certainly use attacking reinforcements this month, especially with Mohamed Salah missing some games because of the AFCON duty.

Meanwhile, Tottenham are already lacking in depth in the attacking department and Son Heung-min will be away on international duty because of the Asia Cup. But Hwang will not be a solution for either club, considering he will at the AFC Asian Cup with South Korea. So, he will be a long-term option for Liverpool and Tottenham.

The opportunity to join one of the biggest clubs in the world will be a tempting proposition for Hwang Hee-chan and he will be attracted to the idea of playing for the Reds. Meanwhile, Tottenham need someone like him at their disposal as well.

Spurs will be desperate to secure UEFA Champions League qualification and they need more quality and depth in their squad. Signing Hwang in January could prove to be a wise move, and it remains to be seen whether they can beat Liverpool to his signature.
