Bundesliga clubs Bayer Leverkusen, RB Leipzig, and VfB Stuttgart are interested in 23-year-old Manchester United forward Jadon Sancho.
According to a report by 90min, Jadon Sancho might find his next destination to be the Bundesliga. The 23-year-old’s former club, Borussia Dortmund, will look to secure his services in January. But Bayer Leverkusen, RB Leipzig, and VfB Stuttgart are also interested in the Manchester United forward.
Jadon Sancho: A Tale of Frustrations at Manchester United
Jadon Sancho returned to England two years ago amid a lot of hype and fanfare surrounding him after his excellent stint with Borussia Dortmund. Manchester United signed the English international from the Bundesliga club for around €85 million. But he has been dreadful thus far in his spell with the Red Devils.
The 23-year-old was sub-par in his first two seasons with Manchester United. But things went from bad to worse at the onset of the 2023/24 season, with Sancho hitting back at Erik ten Hag for a comment after the Premier League game against Arsenal. He alleged that the Manchester United boss lied while saying that he was not training properly.
Sancho has not played for Manchester United since then, with the Dutchman banishing him from the first-team picture. So, the Englishman has managed only 76 minutes of game time thus far this term. And a January move away from Manchester United is on the cards, with Bundesliga his possible destination. Bayer Leverkusen, RB Leipzig, and VfB Stuttgart are keen.
Bundesliga Return on the Cards?
Widespread reports have heavily linked Jadon Sancho with a return to Borussia Dortmund. The 23-year-old is reportedly prioritising rejoining the Black and Yellows. But Bayer Leverkusen, RB Leipzig, and VfB Stuttgart might present compelling projects, with the Bundesliga top-four trio already touching base over a move.
All three clubs are currently in the Bundesliga top four, with Borussia Dortmund trailing them. Bayer Leverkusen, in particular, might be an attractive destination under the tutelage of Xabi Alonso. Meanwhile, Manchester United will prefer his next club to cover most of his wages, considering a loan deal will see the light of day.
In addition, the Red Devils want a mandatory purchase clause in the loan deal. That contradicts the most recent update, which suggested that Manchester United considered terminating his contract. It will be interesting to see where the 23-year-old lands in the January transfer window.
