Juventus will reportedly look to sign 27-year-old Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos in a part-exchange deal involving Moise Kean.
According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Dani Ceballos is the subject of interest from Juventus, who will offer Moise Kean to Real Madrid to secure his services. The Serie A giants want to sign the 27-year-old in the January transfer window. And they want to take advantage of Los Blancos’ desire to sign a striker.
Dani Ceballos and Moise Kean: Two Frustrated Players at European Bigwigs
Dani Ceballos has struggled to stamp his authority since joining Real Madrid from Real Betis in July 2017. The Spaniard was one of the best young midfielders in the world when he arrived at the Santiago Bernabeu. But he has failed to become an undisputed first-choice midfielder for Real Madrid in the last six years.
The 27-year-old enjoyed a solid 2022/23 campaign with Real Madrid. But fitness issues and competition for places have hampered Ceballos this season. So, he has managed only 292 minutes of game time thus far this term, chipping in with one goal in ten outings. As for Moise Kean, he has been in a similar situation to Dani Ceballos.
The 23-year-old is a graduate of Juventus’s youth division. While he was once a highly-rated striker, spells at Everton and Paris Saint-Germain did not help his cause before Juventus re-signed him. The Bianconeri completed his permanent purchase this past summer in a deal worth €30 million. But he has managed only 472 minutes of game time thus far this season.

Juventus can do with a player of Ceballos’s qualities after losing Paul Pogba and Nicolo Fagioli to long-term suspensions. The Spaniard might have struggled to stamp his authority at Real Madrid but remains a solid performer. And the Serie A giants want to take advantage of Los Blancos’ need for a striker by offering Moise Kean in the deal to sign Dani Ceballos.
Ceballos is reportedly ready to leave Real Madrid next year. But it is unclear if the Merengues are ready to accept a part-exchange deal involving Kean to sell the Spanish international. Recent reports have also pointed to the Serie A club’s desire to use the 23-year-old striker in a similar arrangement to sign Charlie Patino from Arsenal.
It will be interesting to see if Juventus can succeed with the offer of a part-exchange deal to sign Ceballos from Real Madrid. But the Spaniard’s time at the Santiago Bernabeu is seemingly coming to an end.
