Dani Ceballos has been linked with a move away from Real Madrid in recent months, with Aston Villa interested in him.

Dani Ceballos has struggled for regular game time at Real Madrid, and he could look to leave the club during the winter transfer window. A report via Fichajes has claimed that the Spaniard is seriously contemplating his departure from the Spanish club amid links with Aston Villa.

Aston Villa are keen on signing the 27-year-old midfielder this season, and it remains to be seen whether they come forward with a concrete proposal in the coming months. The West Midlands club signed Youri Tielemans on a free transfer during the summer transfer window. But the Belgian international has not been able to hit top form since his move to Aston Villa.

The Premier League side could certainly use more quality in the central midfield and would be a quality acquisition. He has proven his quality in La Liga with Real Betis and Real Madrid in the past. He is certainly good enough to succeed in the Premier League as well.

Unai Emery knows the player well, having worked with him during their time together at Arsenal. It is evident that the Aston Villa manager rates him highly, and a reunion would be ideal for the player as well. The Spaniard needs a manager who will trust in his abilities and let him play regularly. Emery could be the ideal coach for him.

In addition, Aston will have an exciting squad, and there is no reason why they cannot challenge for trophies in the coming seasons. Meanwhile, the Villans are competing in Europe this season, and Ceballos will be hoping to win a European trophy with them if he joins the club during the second half of the campaign.

The 27-year-old will add technical ability, control and composure in the middle of the park. He will help Aston Villa control games better and dominate proceedings in the middle of the park. The midfielder is very much at the peak of his powers, and Aston Villa could get the best years out of him if they manage to sign him in January.

Meanwhile, reports have claimed that they are ready to bump Ceballos’s wages to prise him away from Real Madrid. It remains to be seen whether the two clubs can agree on a nominal transfer fee and wrap up the move in January.
