Chelsea can sign Dusan Vlahovic for €40 million in 2024

Chelsea have been linked with a move for the Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic in recent months, with his price tag dropping.

Dusan Vlahovic could be available for a fee of around €40 million, according to journalist Fabio Santini via TV Play. Apparently, the Serbian striker was valued at €80 million in the summer transfer window. But Juventus could now be willing to sell him for half of that, and it remains to be seen whether Chelsea are prepared to make their move.

Dusan Vlahovic At Juventus: The Story So Far

It is evident that Vlahovic has not been a resounding success at Juventus, and the big money transfer has not worked out. It would make sense for Juventus to cash in on him and sign someone who can help them improve in the attack.

Vlahovic has scored just five goals across all competitions this season, and Juventus would have certainly expected better performances from him when they paid big money to secure his signature.

The 23-year-old was highly rated during his time at Fiorentina, and he was expected to develop into a world-class striker. Things have not gone according to plan for him in Turin, and an exit might be ideal for all parties.

Chelsea Calling?

A move to Chelsea would give him a fresh start, and working under Mauricio Pochettino could get the best out of him. The Argentine manager has done well to nurture talented young players throughout his managerial career, and he could help the Serb get back to his best as well.

The striker certainly has the physical and technical attributes to do well in the Premier League, and he could be the ideal target man for Chelsea. Nicolas Jackson has not been able to live up to the expectations since moving to Stamford Bridge, and Chelsea need to sign another striker soon.

They have been linked with Victor Osimhen from Napoli as well. However, the Nigerian is likely to cost a lot more, and Vlahovic would be an inexpensive addition if reports are to be believed. Signing him for €40 million would represent an excellent bargain for Chelsea, and the player could easily justify the investment in the coming seasons.

The Serbian striker is still only 23, and he has plenty of room to develop and fulfil his potential. He could be a key player for the Blues in the coming seasons.
