West Ham United are considering making a move in the upcoming transfer window for the services of 20-year-old Charlton Athletic striker Miles Leaburn.

According to a report by TEAMtalk, West Ham United are interested in acquiring the services of Miles Leaburn. The 20-year-old striker has been in sensational form in the ongoing season, and the Hammers are contemplating signing him in the winter.

Leaburn was a part of the famous Chelsea youth academy back in the day before he joined Charlton in 2019. He went up the ranks at the club and made it to their first team in the summer of 2022. The youngster made his first-team debut when he was 18 and has since featured in a total of 58 matches. The 20-year-old has even contributed towards 26 goals.

The former Chelsea youth product has taken his game to another level in the ongoing season. He has featured in a total of 18 matches and has contributed towards 10 goals. Leaburn has found the back of the net seven times and also has three assists in just over 1,000 minutes of football.

His impressive performances have resulted in a lot of interest. West Ham United are one of the clubs keeping a close eye on the 20-year-old. The Hammers are looking to have two different approaches in the winter transfer window.

They will push for young players with potential as well as established stars to bolster David Moyes’s ranks. They have been tracking Miles Leaburn for a while now and feel he could help their cause in the long run.

While the striker is currently playing in the English third tier, Moyes has a reputation for plucking promising talents from lower leagues and turning them into stars. He signed Jarrod Bowen from Championship club Hull City in January 2020, and he has since gone on to become one of the mainstays of the team.

The 20-year-old’s contract with Charlton runs until the summer of 2025 and they are hopeful of keeping their promising star in their ranks in this early phase of his development. But, if West Ham knocks on the door, the League One cub might find it difficult to keep hold of their striker.
