Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are all set to agree on a bumper new contract with their 26-year-old utility man Ben White.

According to a report by Football Insider, Ben White is all set to pen down a new deal with Arsenal. The 26-year-old defender has been a consistent performer for the Gunners over the years. And, they are ready to reward him with improved terms over his current £120,000-a-week deal as they look to secure his future at the club.

Ben White arrived at Arsenal in the summer of 2021 from Brighton & Hove Albion for a reported fee of £50 million. He proved himself in the English top flight while playing for the Seagulls and then joined the Gunners.

The 26-year-old has gone from strength to strength since moving to the North London club. He has featured in a total of 104 matches for Mikel Arteta’s team and has even contributed towards a total of eight goals.

White has become one of the mainstays of Arteta’s team. He joined Arsenal as a centre-back but has been moulded into a right-back by the Spanish manager. In the ongoing season, the Englishman has featured in a total of 21 matches, and the majority of his appearances have come as a right-back.

White is a very important part of Arteta’s team, and the Spanish manager is keen on having him in his ranks for years to come. The Gunners have already extended the stay of quite a few of their young stars, and now they want to pen down a new deal with the England international.

White’s current contract with the club runs until the summer of 2026, and he earns a reported £120,000-a-week. Despite having well over two years left on his deal, the Gunners want to reward him for his consistent performances and want to secure his future.

Arsenal are ready to give him a significant salary hike and make him join the bracket of top earners at the Emirates Stadium. And, as per the report, the 26-year-old is all set to put pen to paper on the new deal and soon there could be an official announcement about the extension.

Ben White played a key role last season helping them challenge Manchester City for the league title right until the end. And, the Gunners will be hoping to see him perform at a similar level in the years to come.
