Serhou Guirassy flattered by Manchester United links

Manchester United have been linked with the move for the Bundesliga striker Serhou Guirassy in recent weeks.

A report from BILD claims that the 27-year-old striker is flattered by the links with the Premier League club. Manchester United are one of the biggest clubs in the world and it is no surprise that transfer links with them have pleased the striker.

Guirassy has been one of the best players in the Bundesliga this season, scoring 16 goals across all competitions. He could prove to be a quality acquisition for the Red Devils and it remains to be seen whether Manchester United follow up on their interest with a concrete proposal to sign him.

The Guinea international is at the peak of his powers right now and he could improve Manchester United going forward. The Red Devils need to add more goals to the side and the 27-year-old certainly fits the profile.

He has a £15 million release clause in his contract and therefore he could be signed for a reasonable price in January. If Manchester United decide to trigger his exit clause, VfB Stuttgart will be powerless to stop him from leaving, even though they want to hold onto their key player until the end of the season.

A move to the Premier League would be an exciting step up in the player’s career, and he would get to showcase his qualities at a high level. He has proven himself in German football and he will want to make his mark in England now.

Manchester United will be able to offer him Champions League football and he could help them finish the season strongly. The Red Devils have been quite mediocre in the Premier League so far and they will be hoping to finish in the top four and secure Champions League qualification for the next season.

They will need to sign quality players in order to do well during the second half of the campaign, and someone like Guirassy would improve them immensely. If he manages to hit the ground running in the Premier League, the £15 million release clause could look like a major bargain.
