A host of clubs are keen on Ajax goalkeeping duo Charlie and Tommy Setford, with the teenage English brothers chased by top teams.

According to TEAMtalk, many Premier League clubs are keeping constant tabs on teenage English brothers Charlie and Tommy Setford. Some of those include Arsenal, Chelsea, and Liverpool, among others, with spaces opening up on those sides for a new goalkeeper.

Charlie and Tommy Setford are coming up through the ranks at Ajax, with the former making more of an impression with regards to his chances of first-team football. Charlie has occasionally made it to the Eredivisie and Champions League squads but has yet to make an appearance with the senior side.

A host of Premier League clubs, including Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea, are keen on the teenage English brothers, with either probably looking at a new goalkeeping option. Those sides are not particularly keen on a first-choice player but someone to cover for the No.1 and potentially add competition in the position.

For instance, Arsenal and Liverpool are looking closely at Charlie’s situation, while clubs such as Chelsea are looking at both. The Blues are in the market for a new keeper and could sell Kepa Arrizabalaga next summer for a set price.

Robert Sanchez has been unconvincing so far, with suggestions that Chelsea might sign a new first-choice stopper. However, the larger picture would see them bring someone for the deputy role, which makes sense considering they are interested in the teenage English brothers.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are one of those clubs who are always alert to market opportunities, and in the case of the Setford brothers, there is one. In any case, Jurgen Klopp may not see them fit their first-team plans yet, but one of those could compete for the No.2 spot.

Arsenal, on the other hand, could seriously consider Charlie ahead of the upcoming windows. Aaron Ramsdale could leave for the right price, with the Gunners reportedly demanding £50 million from suitors. To replace him, Mikel Arteta could look at Charlie and bring him to compete with Karl Hein for the No.2 spot.

Whether that is what Arteta wants remains the question. But there is a chance Arsenal will use the funds generated from Ramsdale in other areas of the squad.
