Dusan Vlahovic could extend his stay at Juventus beyond the 2026 mark, which could disappoint teams like Arsenal and Manchester United.

According to Team Talk and Graeme Bailey, Dusan Vlahovic would prefer to extend his stay at Juventus amid transfer speculation linking a move to the Premier League. Arsenal and Manchester United are among the teams keen on the 23-year-old striker, but they are about to suffer a setback in the chase.

The rumours about Dusan Vlahovic joining the Premier League might be over because he might choose to stay with Juventus. The 23-year-old striker has a contract until 2026, and he could sign fresh terms to extend his stay beyond that mark.

Nearly two years have passed since Arsenal chased the striker, Juventus convinced him to join from Fiorentina. The relationship has not been up to the mark, with the 23-year-old striker proving somewhat inconsistent since moving to Turin.

In the summer, Chelsea were keen on signing him in a part-exchange deal involving Romelu Lukaku, but things did not materialise. The Blues retain an interest alongside many other top teams, but Arsenal and Manchester United are also keen on the 23-year-old striker.

Arsenal have retained an interest, as rumours circulating in the media point to Mikel Arteta signing a new striker in January. Among some options linked with the Gunners, Vlahovic is the cheapest.

Juventus have been planning a new deal for the striker, and now Vlahovic is open to extending his stay in Turin. Graeme Bailey from Team Talk says the 23-year-old striker will stay in Italy. He won’t join Arsenal or Manchester United.

Bailey said, “Juventus are very happy with Dusan; he is playing like the player they signed back in 2022. He is really starting to perform like one of the top strikers in Europe.”

“He knows there is interest from England and Spain, but he is happy to commit to Juve as long as they come up with the right offer.”

There are questions about the reported interest from Manchester United. Erik ten Hag did want a striker in the Vlahovic mould, but he did bring in Rasmus Hojlund in the summer. Both are of a similar profile and if the Red Devils wanted a new frontman, they might look towards a different style of striker.

Juventus might sell their prized assets, like Vlahovic and Federico Chiesa. The cash these sales would bring in could have helped them reshape their squad, but the 23-year-old is likely to stay at the club.
