Serhou Guirassy has been linked with a move away from VfB Stuttgart in recent weeks, with AC Milan and Newcastle United keen.

Serhou Guirassy is in spectacular form this season, and clubs in Saudi Arabia are keen on signing him. However, a report from Calciomercato has claimed that the 27-year-old is uninterested in a move to Saudi Arabia right now, and the development will come as a boost for his other suitors AC Milan and Newcastle United.

The Magpies want to sign a quality striker during the January transfer window, and Guirassy would be a quality acquisition. The 27-year-old has a £15 million release clause in his contract, and he could be signed for a reasonable price as well.

The in-form striker has scored 16 goals across all competitions so far this season, and he could prove to be a quality acquisition. Although Newcastle have Callum Wilson and Alexander Isak at their disposal, Wilson’s injury record is a bit of a concern.

Eddie Howe needs more options in his first-team squad, and the Bundesliga-based striker would be the ideal fit. The 27-year-old is at the peak of his powers right now, and he could settle into English football and make an immediate impact.

Meanwhile, AC Milan are looking to add more quality upfront as well. Olivier Giroud is in his twilight years, and the 27-year-old could be the ideal long-term replacement for the French international. It will be interesting to see where he ends up eventually.

There is no doubt that the striker would earn a lot more money in Saudi Arabia. But it seems that he is willing to test himself at a high level right now and wants to join a top European club. A move to AC Milan or Newcastle would be an exciting opportunity for him, and both clubs should be able to afford his nominal release clause in January.

It would be a major step up in his career, and Guirassy will look to establish himself as one of the best strikers in Europe. If he manages to hit the ground running in the Premier League or Serie A, the £15 million investment could look like a major bargain.
