Barcelona winger Raphinha continues to be linked with a move away from the club.

Premier League giants Liverpool are reportedly keen on signing him and a report from Fichajes claims that the deal could involve the Colombian international winger Luis Diaz. The player’s father recently admitted that Diaz is a Barcelona fan and that has led to speculations surrounding a potential move to the Spanish club.

It will be interesting to see if Liverpool decides to use Diaz in a deal to sign Raphinha. The 26-year-old Brazilian international has been linked with a return to the Premier League and a move to Liverpool could be an exciting option for him.

Liverpool will need quality wingers, especially if players like Mohamed Salah leave the club at the end of the season. However, sanctioning the departure of Diaz in order to sign the Brazilian might not be a good idea. The former Porto winger has been a key player for Liverpool since joining the club and the Reds must look to keep him at the club for as long as possible.

Meanwhile, Raphinha played his best football in the Premier League with Leeds United and a return to English football could be ideal for him. He has had a mixed spell at the Spanish club and a return to England could help him get back to his best once again.

The €58 million winger is versatile enough to operate on both flanks and he will add creativity and flair to the Liverpool attack. Salah could be sold at the end of the season, especially if he refuses to renew his contract. He will be a free agent in 2025 and Liverpool might not want to risk losing him on a free transfer.

Saudi Arabian clubs were keen on him at the start of the season and they are expected to return for him at the end of the season as well.

Meanwhile, Raphinha has been linked with a number of other English clubs as well and it will be interesting to see where he ends up. The swap deal involving Diaz would certainly be the ideal scenario for Barcelona and they are likely to be keen on the idea. However, these deals are often difficult to execute and it remains to be seen how the situation develops.
