West Ham United are keen on acquiring the services of the 26-year-old Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke in January.

According to a report by Mirror, West Ham United are keen on having Dominic Solanke in their ranks. The 26-year-old has been on their radar for a while now and the Hammers are looking to push for his services in the winter transfer window.

Solanke came through the ranks at Chelsea before joining Liverpool in the summer of 2017. After a decent spell at the Merseyside club, he joined Bournemouth in the winter of 2019 and has since gone from strength to strength.

He has featured in a total of 189 matches and has contributed towards 91 goals. In the ongoing season, he has featured in 12 Premier League games and has contributed towards seven goals. His impressive performances haven’t gone unnoticed and there is significant interest in his services.

West Ham United are one of the clubs keen on having him in their ranks and they have reignited their interest in the 26-year-old after having failed to sign him in the summer. The Hammers wanted to sign him back in July and even submitted a bid of £40 million which was rejected by the Cherries.

The Hammers are back in the transfer market for a new striker. David Moyes is keen on a new number nine. He wants more firepower in attack and feels a proven Premier League striker could do wonders for them.

West Ham are yet to replace Gianluca Scamacca following his return to Italy. And, signing Solanke could help them cope with the absence of the 24-year-old. Meanwhile, they could also look to offload Danny Ings in the winter transfer window if the right offer arrives. But, they will only do so if they have a replacement lined up.

While the Hammers are keen on having the former Liverpool striker in their ranks, Bournemouth has no interest in letting him leave the club. They are unlikely to sanction a sale in the winter transfer window as they look to survive in the English top-flight.

Solanke has over three years left in his deal with the Cherries which means they are under no pressure to sell. They have the upper hand and any club that wants to sign him will have to make an offer good enough to tempt them.
