Liverpool remain interested in acquiring the services of 24-year-old Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe.

According to AS via SportWitness, Liverpool are keen on having Kylian Mbappe in their ranks. The 24-year-old French international has been on their radar for a while now and they might have submitted an offer for his services.

Mbappe was the talk of the town towards the start of the season because of his contract situation at Paris Saint-Germain. His future still remains a hot topic as the 24-year-old is unlikely to sign a new deal. His contract at the French club runs out at the end of the season and he will be free to join any club of his choice.

The French World Cup winner has a desire to play for Real Madrid. And, even the Los Blancos have been keen on having him in their ranks. However, things have changed of late.

While a few reports suggest Madrid have decided to rule out a move for Mbappe, El Chiringuito’s Josep Pedrerol has stated that the Spanish giants will have to break their salary structure to land him at the club.

The French international is demanding €35 million in wages per year after tax. A figure that Madrid are not that comfortable paying. Meanwhile, Mbappe wants to play on the left flank, a position which is occupied by Vinicius Junior.

On top of that, Los Blancos will have to offer him €100 million as a signing bonus. According to the report, he already has more important offers from elsewhere and there is a mention of Liverpool reigniting their interest in the 24-year-old’s services.

It looks unrealistic that Liverpool might have submitted an offer of €100 million as a signing bonus and are willing to pay him €35 million net wages. But, they might be preparing for life without Mohamed Salah who could join the Saudi Pro League next summer. His departure could raise significant funds and could eventually fund the Mbappe transfer.
