Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on signing 18-year-old Norwegian winger Antonio Nusa, a target for Chelsea.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing Antonio Nusa. The 18-year-old winger has attracted the attention of Premier League rivals Chelsea as well.
Fabrizio Romano said on Kick, “Tottenham are one of many clubs scouting Antonio Nusa. He’s a very special talent. Tottenham sent their scouts, Chelsea sent their scouts, many clubs are following him. But, at the moment, still no substantial update.”
It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can convince him to move to the Premier League in the coming months. Interestingly, the 18-year-old wonderkid has already rejected a move to Stamford Bridge recently.
The North London outfit could certainly use more quality in the wide areas, and Nusa would be a superb long-term investment for them. He is rated highly around Europe and has a big future ahead of him. The youngster has the attributes to develop into a top-class winger, and he will add pace, flair and creativity to the Tottenham attack.
Tottenham have excelled in Ange Postecoglou’s attacking system this season, and Nusa would certainly benefit from playing in his setup. The Australian manager did well to nurture players during his time at Celtic, and he could bring out the best in the 18-year-old winger as well.
Club Brugge will not want to lose a key player midway through the season, and it remains to be seen whether Tottenham decide to test their resolve with an official proposal in the coming months.
Meanwhile, Tottenham are unlikely to be the only club keen on the 18-year-old winger, and it will be interesting to see if other clubs decide to come in for him in the near future. The opportunity to play in the Premier League can be quite attractive, and the youngster could be tempted if there is a concrete proposal on the table.
Tottenham have started the season well, and they will look to return to the UEFA Champions League. Meanwhile, Nusa needs to join a club where he will get ample game time. So, joining Spurs could be ideal for him.
