West Ham United have been linked with the move for the Bundesliga striker Victor Boniface.

A report from TeamTalk claims that the London club are keeping tabs on the 22-year-old striker and they could look to make a move for him in the coming months.

West Ham have done well to improve their squad after the departure of Declan Rice. They have added more quality to their midfield and they have also improved the attack with the signing of Mohammed Kudus. However, they are still lacking a reliable goalscorer and the arrival of Boniface could prove to be a wise decision.

The 22-year-old striker has proven himself in the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen and he has 11 goals and six assists in 15 matches across all competitions. Apparently, scouts from a number of european clubs are keeping tabs on him and West Ham should look to move quickly if they want to secure his services.

The Hammers are competing in the UEFA Europa League and the opportunity to play for them could be an attractive proposition for the striker. A move to the Premier League can be hard to turn down for most players.

Meanwhile, West Ham managed to win the UEFA Europa Conference League last year and they will want to compete in Europe every season. They will need to improve their squad in order for that to happen and they need to sign the right players. Boniface would be a quality long-term investment for them and West Ham certainly have the financial resources to get the deal done.

The 22-year-old has the potential to develop into a reliable Premier League striker with the right guidance and a move to West Ham would be an exciting step in his career.

West Ham have done quite well in the European competition this season but their form in the Premier League has been quite mediocre. Manager David Moyes is under a lot of pressure to turn things around and signing the 22-year-old striker in January could help him turn West Ham’s season around.

The 22-year-old has the physical and technical attributes to hit the ground running in the Premier League and he could transform West Ham going forward.
