Manchester United are reportedly keen on the Brazilian midfielder Andre Trindade.

The 22-year-old has been linked with a move to the Premier League and he has been linked with Liverpool. A report from Football Transfers claims that Manchester United have now joined the race for his signature.

Andre is one of the best young talents in South America right now and he should prove to be a quality long-term acquisition for the Red Devils.

Manchester United need to sign a quality long-term replacement for Brazilian international Casemiro and Andre certainly fits the profile. The 22-year-old defensive midfielder has the ability to succeed in English football and he could prove to be a quality long-term investment for Manchester United.

The Premier League side certainly have the finances to get the deal done and it will be interesting to see if they can agree on a reasonable fee with Fluminense. The player was linked with the move away from the Brazilian club during the summer transfer window as well but Fluminense chose to hold onto him back then and they are expected to sanction his departure during the January transfer window.

Manchester United will hope that Premier League rivals Liverpool do not push for him midway through the season. It would give them a clear run at the player and it remains to be seen how the situation develops. Liverpool have reportedly pulled out of the race.

The 22-year-old will help protect the Manchester United defence and allow the creative players to operate with more freedom. He could be the ideal long-term partner for Sofyan Amrabat at the heart of Manchester United’s midfield.

Andre is very good at protecting the central defenders and breaking up the opposition attacks. The opportunity to play in the Premier League will be a tempting proposition for him and he will look to fulfil his potential with regular football in the Premier League.

Erik ten Hag has done well to nurture talented young players and he could help the Brazilian fulfil his world-class potential as well.

The 22-year-old will wants to take the next step in his career and he wants to join a club capable of winning major trophies. Manchester United certainly have the squad and resources to fight for the major trophies in the coming seasons.
