Tottenham prepare bid to sign Gleison Bremer

Tottenham Hotspur are ready to fork out €40 million to acquire the services of 26-year-old Juventus centre-back Gleison Bremer.

According to a report by Fichajes, Tottenham Hotspur are keen on having Gleison Bremer in their ranks. The 26-year-old Brazilian defender has been one of the mainstays of Juventus of late but he could end up trying his luck in the Premier League next year.

Bremer joined Juventus back in the summer of 2022 after proving himself in the Italian top flight with Torino. The Brazilian international has gone from strength to strength since joining the Italian giants. He has featured in a total of 54 games for the Old Lady and has even contributed towards six goals.

Despite having joined the club just 15 months back, the 26-year-old has become one of the most important players in the team. And, in the ongoing season, he has featured in a total of 11 matches and has been on the pitch for 984 minutes.

Bremer has a contract with Juventus until the summer of 2027 but he could still be on the move in the near future. The Old Lady do not have the best of financial situations. As a result, the possible departure of the 26-year-old could help them raise a significant amount of funds that could be used to reinforce other key areas of the pitch under Massimiliano Allegri.

Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in the Juventus centre-back. Ange Postecoglou has had a terrific start at Spurs. They are second in the Premier League with 26 points out of their 11 matches.

While they have been doing wonders, Postecoglou is well aware of the fact that there is not much depth in his team. As a result, he is keen on reinforcement and has been on the lookout for a centre-back.

Bremer is someone who has been on their radar of late. And, they are looking to acquire his services next year. The London club are ready to pay more than €40 million to land the 26-year-old at their club. He will surely bolster their squad and give them enough depth in the heart of the defence.
