La Liga champions Barcelona are reportedly monitoring the progress of 19-year-old Brazilian attacking sensation Savinho.
According to a report by Spanish outlet SPORT, Savinho is the subject of interest from Barcelona. Deco is tracking the progress of the 19-year-old attacking sensation at fellow Catalan club Girona. But the Blaugrana will face difficulties landing the youngster, who belongs to the City Football Group.
Savio Moreira de Oliveira, better known as Savinho, spent most of his formative years in his homeland before graduating from the Atletico Mineiro Academy a few years ago. But his time in Brazil ended last year, with the City Football Group snapping him up and assigning him to Troyes.
However, the 19-year-old has yet to make his debut for the French club after spending last term on loan at PSV Eindhoven. Another temporary move beckoned this past summer, with Girona securing Savinho’s services. And the Brazilian attacking sensation has hit the ground running at the Catalan club.
The teenage sensation has been a regular for Girona thus far this term, managing four goals and four assists in 12 appearances. Meanwhile, Savinho’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs, including Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur. He is also a target for Barcelona.
The Catalan giants constantly scour the market for the brightest young prospects in the world. Such an outlook has helped them sign current first-team stars like Pedri and Gavi, among others. Meanwhile, a youth revolution is underway at FC Barcelona under Xavi Hernandez, with Lamine Yamal being the flagbearer.
However, amid uncertainties surrounding the future of Ferran Torres, Barcelona can do with a young winger. Savinho is thus a viable target for the Blaugrana. But landing the 19-year-old Brazilian attacking sensation will be a tall order, considering he is part of the City Football Group.

In addition, the teenage sensation has already insisted that he wants to play for Manchester City one day. Savinho is admittedly confident of turning out for the treble winners in the future. So, Barcelona might not succeed in prising the 19-year-old Brazilian winger away from Troyes once his Girona loan spell ends.
