Real Madrid and Manchester City hold the edge when it comes to the pursuit of Jamal Musiala
Jamal Musiala is one of the finest young footballers in world football today and it comes as no surprise that the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester City are interested in his services.
The German international continues to impress for both his nation and club Bayern Munich. A versatile attacker who can pass and score, he is a modern-day footballer who can thrive in a mobile frontline.
While comfortable at Die Roten, a player of Musiala’s ability will consistently be linked with a move to other big clubs. Real Madrid certainly fits the bill and are arguably Europe’s biggest club while Manchester City are the reigning European champions.
According to Fichajes via Sky Sports, both clubs have an edge when it comes to attracting Musiala. The 20-year-old has a market value of around €110 million but that can increase significantly should he continue to develop into a world beater.
A move to Real will reunite him with former English youth international teammate and close friend Jude Bellingham. Musiala would future-proof a spot in the Los Blancos attack and can be their talisman in attack for the upcoming decade. However, since the Spaniards already have Arda Guler in their ranks, it remains to be seen if it makes sense for them to go big for the German star.
But then Florentino Perez has always been a fan of the Galacticos and Musiala certainly fits that criteria. Manchester City too are the pre-eminent force in English football and finally cracked the formula to secure European dominance last season.
City and Madrid both meet the player’s criteria in terms of playing style and ambition. This gives them an edge over other sides who might be in the fray for Musiala.
The 20-year-old has not ruled out a future move from the Allianz Arena. It makes sense for him to move to a club of similar stature given his prominence in the game. There should be no shortage of clubs lining up to sign him should he be willing to move.
