Real Madrid can reportedly sign in-form Guinean striker Serhou Guirassy from Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart for just €17.5 million.
According to a report by Spanish outlet Defensa Central, Serhou Guirassy is the subject of interest from Real Madrid. Several other high-profile clubs are also keen on signing the in-form striker from VfB Stuttgart. Meanwhile, his suitors can sign him from the Bundesliga club for just €17.5 million, the value of his release clause.
Serhou Guirassy is a native of Arles and spent his formative years in France. A graduate of the Stade Lavallois Academy, he struggled for relevance in France after a few loan spells. Meanwhile, after representing his nation of birth in age-group football on the international stage, he chose to represent Guinea on the senior level.
As for his performances at the club level, the 27-year-old has come leaps and bounds since joining VfB Stuttgart. Guirassy initially moved to the Bundesliga club on loan for the 2022/23 season before completing a permanent transfer this past summer. And the player has been excellent thus far this term, amassing 15 goals and two assists in nine appearances thus far.
Guirassy’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs in Europe. Recent reports have linked him with many Premier League outfits. Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano recently rejected claims that Arsenal and Chelsea are pursuing him. As for matters in La Liga, the player is a target for Real Madrid.
Real Madrid’s interest in Guirassy is understandable, considering they chose not to sign a replacement for Karim Benzema. When Joselu arrived from Espanyol, he filled the spot that Mariano Diaz vacated this past summer. In addition, with Real Madrid struggling for goals from players not named Jude Bellingham, they need a striker.
That is a dangerous trend in a long season where Real Madrid will look to compete on all fronts. So, Los Blancos should invest in a striker in the January transfer window, with Guirassy emerging as a viable target. And the VfB Stuttgart striker is an affordable option, with his contract with the Bundesliga club having a release clause worth €17.5 million.

While the price makes the Guinean international affordable, Stuttgart will likely work hard to keep hold of him. But the presence of a release clause means the decision is out of the Bundesliga club’s hands. So, it will be interesting to see if Real Madrid can convince the 27-year-old to swap Stuttgart with Madrid.
