Arsenal will look to make a move for the services of Chelsea target Dusan Vlahovic during the winter transfer window.
According to a report by Tutto Juve, Arsenal are keen on having Dusan Vlahovic in their ranks. The Gunners wanted to acquire his services during the summer but unfortunately, they couldn’t make a move for him back then. However, they are still interested in the 23-year-old striker and will push for him in the winter.
Vlahovic came through the ranks at Partizan before joining Fiorentina in the summer of 2018. He went from strength to strength since making the move to Italy. And, his impressive performances attracted the attention of Italian giants Juventus. The Old Lady broke the bank and acquired his services in the winter of 2022.
The Serbian international got off to a decent start at Juventus but he was not really living up to the expectations. As a result, he was linked with a move away from the club during the summer. However, a lot has changed since the start of the new season. The 23-year-old has been on fire in the ongoing season and he has five goal contributions in his six outings.
His contract with the Italian giants runs until the summer of 2026 and Juventus are keen on having him at their clubs for years to come. While they are well aware of interest in his services, the Old Lady have no intentions of selling him.
Arsenal are one of the clubs keen on having him in their ranks. The Gunners were interested back in the summer but they didn’t move ahead with it back then. However, they are now looking to push for his services in the winter.
Mikel Arteta already has a few quality options up top but he is looking for a different profile. He wants to sign an out-and-out number nine, someone who can guarantee goals. And, Vlahovic seems to fit the bill.
But, the Gunners are not the only ones in the race. Even Chelsea are interested in the 23-year-old. The Blues have struggled in front of goal this season. They have invested a lot into their attack during the summer but the results haven’t followed.
As a result, they want to add a world-class forward in January and they have their eyes on the Serbian international. But, Juventus are not willing to sell Vlahovic, so it will be interesting to see what Arsenal and Chelsea are prepared to do to land him at their club.
