Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has been linked with a move away from the North London club in recent months.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has fallen down the pecking order at Tottenham since the arrival of Ange Postecoglou. And a report from Calciomercato claims that Juventus are hoping to sign him on loan.

The Serie A giants need to add more quality and depth through their midfield, especially after the doping incident related to Paul Pogba. They have thus been scouring the market for a midfielder, with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg emerging on their radar.

Hojbjerg could prove to be a quality acquisition for the Bianconeri. The Danish midfielder has proven himself in the Premier League over the years, and he has the quality to succeed in Serie A as well. The Tottenham midfielder is at the peak of his career, and he could make an immediate impact at Juventus.

Signing him on a loan deal would be a cheap acquisition, and it would free up funds for Juventus to strengthen the other areas of their squad as well. But it will be interesting to see if Tottenham are willing to let him leave on a loan deal.

Ideally, the North London outfit should look to cash in on him permanently and sign a quality central midfielder. Letting him leave on loan does not benefit them in any way, and it would weaken the squad as well.

Tottenham are currently on top of the league table and they will look to push for major trophies. Signing the right players in January could help them have a successful season, and a loan exit for Hojbjerg might not be appealing for them.

As far as the midfielder is concerned, he will look to play regularly. And the opportunity to join a big club like Juventus could be an attractive proposition for him. He has been linked with Spanish giants Atletico Madrid as well. The 28-year-old will look to get his career back on track, and a January exit would be ideal for him. It remains to be seen whether all parties can come to an agreement in the coming weeks.

If they really want him and he wants to go then they buy him or part exchange with either Bremmer or their centre forward that they bought from Fiorentina.

  2. Mike says:

Need to get rid of Dier, Richarlison, Lloris and Lo Celso in the January window and try to bring in another central defender, have a good look at Ivan Toney, or the mexican lad Gimenez. Jota on a possible free, but we need to keep Hojbjerg for sure as we will be missing several players in the African Cup Of Nations and the Asia Cup. Gil is another player that will suit Anges style of play, so keep him and lets see what he can do if given the chance. COYS
